[... The universe surely did love to drive him absolutely insane. Matt looks behind him, calling out to his daughter, hoping that, perhaps, she'd came with him this time.] Maddie? Are you okay? [Any faint voice he would have heard was, at the moment, not here--although he was certain he'd heard her, he also had no idea why he'd appeared in a room with no doors in it.

Another Dressing Room, perhaps?] ... Wonderful.

[The ex-thief is clearly NOT amused.] Whomever is here, please direct me to the nearest exit--I have important business to attend to. [And with that, he gives a glower to the floor and waits for people to answer him. Impatiently, I might add.]

((OOC: Because... well, because I want people to bother him and he needs to be more active? XD I dunno--just... poor Matt.

At least he can actually -leave- here. Though he probably doesn't know that yet.))

How else would we find ourselves stuck in a place so close to the last?

[Hey, that reminds him of something!] ... I'm supposed to be ordering a bossy little girl ice cream, actually. [He frowns. Hard.] ... I'm not even sure she's going to forgive me for disappearing again.

It's not that close. There's no mindfuckery rooms and...

...the only Dahlia is a pokemon trainer.

*He manages a wry smile* I know exactly what Trucy's thoughts on that particular matter are, and they tend to lead to her being upset at me. I've done that too much to her.

At this point, I wouldn't put it past the universe to give us a false sense of security. [And he can't help hoping that's not true--the last thing he needs is another trip into the Maze of death.]

... That's messed up certainly different. [Sighs] The other Mr. Wright I saw he said he was going to 'keep an eye on me,' as if I'd been sneaking around with some kind of pistol, trying to kill anyone who got close enough to breathe in the vicinity....

[What Nicholas says next causes Matt to frown for quite a bit. After some silence, he then decides to smiles nonetheless, jamming his hands into his coat happily.] But you're back now, are you not?

Besides, that wasn't your fault--you can't go blaming yourself for everything... can you? [Although he was hardly one to talk about not blaming oneself for things, after all.] At least you're don't have to prove yourself to oh, everyone. I mean... you're not going to leave them again.

I don't think anyone could separate you at this point... not unless they wanted to die trying.

As long as I can get home, I don't care whether this place spawns laser carrying gerbils. Well, just as long as they can't follow me.

It is. She was acting... different. She challenged me to a pokemon battle, and I figured it was safer to decline.

What, the crazy one? I'm avoiding him.

*Nicholas frowns slightly* I don't blame myself for everything. And I'm not about to leave them, but I'd prefer it if the universe didn't keep pulling me away. It would help Trucy's peace of mind.

... [Shakes his head.] She might want to use one of those for her act, actually.

[There's a bit of a mess with his glasses at that.] Hm... hopefully she'll be the only one.

[Frowns at the next comment.] That would explain why he was dressed so oddly. And he kept finding ways around how I tried to prove he was one of you unfortunately, but when he raised his voice it was horribly evident who was under that... odd... costume.

[Plays with the box of crayons in his pockets.] Ah, but it seems one torture run appears to have been long enough for the time being, at least. [He fingers a red-orange crayon absently, a slight smile on his face.] If we can leave, I intend to do so.

I doubt I'd let her. Those could be dangerous.

...yeah. Me too.

He wouldn't believe me about me being, well, him. Even though it's patently obvious.

*He can't help but smile at that* No kidding. Would any parent really want to hang around here when their child is elsewhere?

[Shrugs at that.] He may be a bit looney, but it's probably hard to imagine an alternate if you've not seen many of them before. I thought it was a joke when I first ended up here, in the circumstances.

[Now they're both beaming like idiots.] Hopefully not. It's good to know you're doing alright... Mr. Wright. [And there's a small smirk on his face, even if the joke is horribly LAME. Oh, Matt....]

Except that he seemed convinced that I was the crazy one, nevermind that he's running around and trying to convince me to be his alibi.

I do my best. *He raises an eyebrow at the name but doesn't comment*

I think it best not to ask on the mental stability of that one, then.

[For all reason he'd decided not to call Nicholas 'Andy' for the simple reason of wanting to stay on his good side.] As that's all we can hope to do.

[A smile, and, for a fleeting moment, Matt checks the door behind him. It was like a still-frame of his own world: the image was there, but it was almost liquid-like. He was happy to see the inside of that ice cream parlor. Probably more than he should have been.] It appears my particular absence has caused no time difference. That's good to know. Maybe when I've no one to look after I should be more fortunate to find myself here again.

[Hesitantly, a hand on the knob, Matt looks back at Nicholas.] Try to stay out of trouble.

That's always good, especially when little girls are expecting you to buy them ice cream. *He doesn't see what Matt does, but he slightly happier for that; he doesn't want to get accidentally routed to somewhere else*

I do my best to. You should too.
